Repaint of a 747-246B in Japan Airline's 70s Tsurumaru livery for the payware CLS 747 HD. This was tested in FSX, but it should work in Prepar3D v1-3 (and v4-5 ports of this add-on).
Japan Airlines was the largest 747 operator of all time one of the first Asian operators of the type. It used a total of 114 aircraft of different variants from 1970 until 2011, with the majority being comprised of 747 "Classics" with the outdated analog cockpit and flight engineer's station. The 747 Classics were the primary aircraft on JAL's intercontinental routes in the 1970s and 1980s, but they were later relegated to medium-haul flights with the introduction of the 747-400 variant in 1990, with the last aircraft, a 747-300, being retired in 2009.
The aircraft represented in this repaint is JA8131, which was the 31st 747 Classic series airframe used by the airline. It first flew on June 20, 1979 and served JAL from June 28, 1979 until March 20, 2007. Like many of its sister ships that were with the company at the time of its retirement, it was converted as a freighter and flew with Kalitta Air before its retirement in 2009.
